Sandy “Bebe” Gillespie Biography:
Sandy Gillespie was born October 23, 1978 to the parentage of Shelly “Coby” Gillespie and to his mother the late Frances V. Williams-Dalton (Nanny). He attended school in Blytheville, AR. until the Fall of 1986, and his family then moved to South Bend, IA. In 1988 his mother was brutally murdered by her husband, who inflicted 3 gunshot wounds to her body, 2 lethal shots to her head which caused her to pass on and be with the Lord. The same year his grandmother received custody of his sister and him and moved back to Blytheville. Bebe and his sister Shasta were raised by their grandmother, the late Mrs. Jimmie Toliver. While successfully toiling his way through the Blytheville School District each year being a honor roll student, he achieved high honors as a Jr. High and Sr. High basketball player. After finishing high school, Bebe continued his basketball career briefly attending CRC in Paragould, AR. That rapidly came to an end as he entangled himself into the life of drug selling, which led to a unhealthy lifestyle. After 8 years of selling drugs, owning a detail shop and a nightclub, his lifestyle began to catch up with him. It appeared that everything in his life had began to go wrong. He was robbed once by a family member, and again later by a lifelong friend. Several of his friends were being incarcerated and some even shot. This reckless lifestyle even drove his family to pack up and leave. Everything seemed to be going wrong, and finally the light bulb came on and God intervened and showed him his purpose in life. And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) That’s why he now knows that no weapon that is formed against us shall be able to prosper. The time is now and with the vision that God has given me and the dedicated and honorable men that surrounds me.
